This is the unrevised version of a painting for a friend on SheezyArt and DA: It's his OC Hitsu.
I need to go back and make some major changes...because like all of my challenging pieces. It's full of mistakes, errors, and major 'f*** ups'
I've have received excellent help from friends on Sheezy. Two great artists in particular have given me some great steps to fix it. So when time permits I'll hopefully put up a better version soon. Major problems lie with the shadows, the feet, and overall depth in the work.
I'm open to critiques that don't pertain to the mistakes already stated. I know they are wrong, and am working to fix those, but if anything else catches your eye I'd love to make this work better.
Although, I love to hear critiques, please don't leave useless critiques like 'this looks weird' or 'what's wrong with _______??" As this only irritates me and makes me wonder if the person even bothers to read the description. Such comments will be ignored.
Hope everyone enjoys it nonetheless!
**EDIT: I cropped his legs off...XD They were really bothering me....he is back under construction. @w@
he looks a tad bit short and where the fold of the waist is kinda uneven. i dunno, but the color and the face is killer! i'm not good with critiques and you know it! its hard to look at your stuff and point out anything wrong. its damn near impossible! heh heh, but your stuff still kicks my drawings ass.

XD i'll never use yoshiki as a body reference again...because the man IS too short [link]
I will keep that in mind next time...through revision...i don't know if i would be able to stretch out his legs without further skewing the depth in the background...=_=;;

man, he is short! O_o"
i wonder, do you paint on separate layers? i only say this because i have no good ideas, but perhaps you can stretch it out... wait. you're using painter right?

actually for this painting...i do use separate layers, and i use Photoshop..but the pants were merged with the entire outfit...in order to reclaim some memory. if i tried to stretch out the legs...i'd have to cut them and drag them down a little...and then paint the gap.....however..the feet would probably be dragged off the canvas...so i'd have to make my canvas longer...and then fix the background on top of that....i think for myself i can live with him being short..XD most asian guys are anyway.

true true, XD just don't paint an avarage american person next to him, the head would probably go off the canvas. i guess i can live with it if you can.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
